Switching to a Mac-based business from a Windows-based business requires you to convert many of your Windows file formats to a Mac-supported format. Microsoft Word 2007 and later use the DOCX file format to save files. Using Apple Pages from the iWork Suite you can open a DOCX file on your Mac. Additionally, if you use iCloud to store your documents you can upload your Microsoft Word documents from any Windows computer and download them in a PDF or Pages document file to your Mac.

1.Launch 'Pages' on your Mac. Click the 'File' menu and select 'Open.'
2.Select the DOCX file you want to open. Click 'Open.' The file converts to a Pages document so you can view and edit the file.
3.Click the 'File' button and then click 'Save.' A Pages document file is created for future use, and the original DOCX file is left intact.

1.Access the iCloud website from your Windows computer and click on the 'iWork' icon.
